first_img[dropcap]B[/dropcap]log, what a fantastic interview, with trainer, Stuart Williams, in today’s Racing Post. Clearly, the man is a real character. My favourite answer though, came when he said that his biggest disappointment, was not being selected, on the show ‘Blind Date’.Don’t worry about it, Mr Williams! I once went on a blind-date in Eastbourne. The girl (I can’t remember her name) arrived half an hour late, wearing an overall and small black wellies. I asked her what she’d been up to. She then told me, that she had been tending to one of her snakes, that had been ill. And that she kept a full collection of them, in her home!I WAS OUT OF THERE IN 5 SECONDS FLAT!!! In other news:In a country, where politically-correct hanger-onners and the ex-Prime Minister’s style-advisers feature in the Queen’s honours lists, it is a pleasure to see Greyhound Racing recognise one of it’s true good-guys. Well done, to Tom Kelly, the GBGB top-man, for giving Jim Cremin, a prize, in respect of his enormous contribution to the sport. Jim has worked, at a high level, in several areas of the betting-industry and never loses his zest for the next chapter of the game. THOROUGHLY DESERVED..!Over and out, B xlast_img
