Inaugurated in November 2017, The Branksome is a 15-minute drive from Sydney’s CBD and 5 minutes from the airport, making it an ideal destination for travellers looking for a stopover option or a longer-term pied-à-terre just outside the city.On arrival, travel and lifestyle industry guests were treated to champagne and wine and canapés, including potato salad, arancini balls, chicken parmigiana.Lim Kai Hai, the Singaporean hotel owner, mingled with guests, while Deputy Chairman and Executive Manager John Sharp, shared details about the services and amenities the hotel has to offer. Sharp also revealed that the Rooftop area would be accessible to the public from Thursdays to Saturdays, 5pm–10pm, within the next month once the currently-under-construction-kitchen is up and running. The outdoor area will offer food selections (which event guests sampled), as well as a bar. The al fresco-style space features comfortable couches, smaller dining tables and colourful lights outlining the pergola, giving the garden and bar a relaxed, lighthearted ambience – especially around sunset.All about The Branksome Hotel & ResidencesThe hotel consists of one-, two- and three-bedroom suites as well as deluxe suites; some also include a study. Designed for a home-away-from-home feel, suites feature a fridge, laundry and pantry, barely visible along the kitchen wall,  with dining tables, sofa-beds and a coffee table in the lounge-room that can be converted into a study desk.All the rooms had similar interior designs which featured earth colours of brown, green, blue and grey which gave the rooms a comfortable ambience. Features such as tech-savvy reception facilities via an electronic tablet, which offers 24-hour room service, allow guests to feel more in control of their stay.
