Dan Carroll with the traffic management unit at 519-355-1092.Vehicle hits hydro poleChatham-Kent police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that occurred on Ridge Line in the area of Mink Line around 3:30 p.m. Friday.Police said the vehicle crashed into a hydro pole, knocking down live power lines.The driver was taken to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.Public intoxication Chatham-Kent police had to deal with a number of intoxicated people over the weekend.Three men – who were believed to have been causing a disturbance – were arrested early Sunday morning on King Street in Chatham, police said.They were placed in custody until sober.Police were also called to Raleigh Street area at 5:20 a.m. Saturday morning regarding a disturbance outside a home.A 27-year-old male was found in an intoxicated state and unable to care for himself.He was arrested for public intoxication and later released, police said.Breaching peaceA 38-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested after police were called to the parking lot of the Wallaceburg Walmart store around 10 p.m. Saturday.Police said the accused was acting suspiciously and swinging a large piece of wood in the air.He was unco-operative with police and arrested for breach of the peace.No injuries or assaults were reported, police said.last_img
